Why Check Your FESCO Electricity Bill Online?

There are a lot of good reasons to check your bill online instead of waiting for the paper bill. Sometimes the bill doesn’t reach your address on time, and if you pay it late you end up with a late payment extra amount. Sometimes the bill just gets lost or thrown away by mistake this is a problem right.

The good part is your electricity bill is usually available online about 5-6 days before the paper copy reaches your home, so checking it online is actually faster than waiting for the postman.

Check FESCO Electricity Bill Online Now

To check your FESCO electricity bill online, you only need one thing: your 14-digit Reference Number or your 10-digit Customer ID. Both are printed on any of your old FESCO bills, on the left side, in the same box near the top. If you can’t find your old bill, ask a family member on the same connection, or visit your local FESCO office with your CNIC and they can help you find it.

You cannot check your FESCO electricity bill using just your CNIC, name, or meter number, that’s not how FESCO’s system works. So the reference number or customer ID is really the one thing you need.

How to Check Your FESCO Electricity Bill Online

The process is very simple and takes less than a minute.

Just enter your 14-digit Reference Number or 10-digit Customer ID in the box on our homepage and click Check Bill. Your bill will appear on the screen in a few seconds with all the details, current amount, due date, units consumed, meter reading date, and issue date. Everything you would see on the paper copy.

If you get a “Bill Not Found” message, don’t worry, this usually just means one wrong digit or a very recent new connection. Recount the number carefully or try the other one, if the Reference Number doesn’t work, try the Customer ID.

How to Download or Print Your FESCO Electricity Bill

Once your bill is on the screen, you can easily save or print it.

Just click Print Bill. From there, if you want a paper copy for payment or your own records, select your printer and print it. If you want to save it on your phone or computer, choose “Save as PDF” as your destination, pick a folder, and click Save. A duplicate electricity bill saved or printed this way works exactly the same as the original.

This is very useful when your original bill is lost, torn, or hasn’t reached you yet, because a duplicate copy is accepted the same as an original at any payment counter.

How to Check Old FESCO Electricity Bills

Need to check an old FESCO bill from a past month? Maybe for a loan, a rent issue, or just to track your usage over time? Your last 12 months of bills are available whenever you check your current bill on our homepage. Once your current bill loads, you’ll see your bill history right along with it.

How to Check if Your FESCO Electricity Bill is Paid or Not

If you already paid your bill and want to make sure it went through, the easiest way is to check the status shown on your bill above. If it hasn’t updated yet, give it 24-48 hours, since it can take that long for the payment to reflect. In the meantime, check your banking app or mobile wallet history for the transaction, and keep your receipt or confirmation message safe as proof. If it’s still not reflected after 48 hours, call the FESCO helpline with your reference number and payment date ready.

Estimate Your FESCO Electricity Bill Charges

Ever wondered why your total bill is more than just units times rate? A few extra charges are added on top:

  • Energy Charges based on the units you consumed
  • Fixed Charges just for having the connection
  • FPA (Fuel Price Adjustment) which changes month to month with fuel prices
  • GST (17%) on top of your bill
  • Electricity Duty (1.5%) paid to the government
  • F.C. Surcharge at about Rs 0.43 per unit
  • T.V. Fee a fixed amount, usually around Rs 35
  • Quarterly Tariff Adjustment (QTA) applied every three months

Want to estimate your bill before it arrives? Use our free FESCO Bill Calculator to see a close estimate based on the units you used.

FESCO Electricity Unit Rates and Calculation

FESCO follows the same NEPRA-approved tariff structure as other electricity companies in Pakistan. Protected consumers, who use less electricity, get a lower per-unit rate. Non-protected consumers pay a standard rate that increases as their usage goes up. Commercial and industrial connections have their own separate rates.

Rates do change from time to time based on NEPRA notifications, so always check the latest rate on your actual bill or use our calculator on the homepage for an estimate.

If you have a TOU or TOD meter (Time of Use / Time of Day), your electricity is billed at different rates depending on when you use it. Peak hours cost more, off-peak hours (usually late night or early morning) cost less. Shifting heavy appliance use like AC or washing machine to off-peak hours is one of the easiest ways to bring your bill down.

FESCO Electricity Bill SMS Alerts

Tired of manually checking your bill every month? You can subscribe to FESCO’s SMS service to get an alert as soon as your new bill is ready. Similarly, you can subscribe to email alerts to receive a copy of every bill in your inbox. Both are free and save you the trouble of remembering to check.

FESCO Electricity Tax Certificate

If you need a tax certificate for your electricity bill, maybe for filing taxes or claiming a rebate, this is available through FESCO’s official system. You can request it at your local FESCO office with your CNIC and reference number.

Common Problems With Your FESCO Electricity Bill
